Transformed lives are what the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley is all about.
The face of the homeless in the Mahoning Valley is not what you may expect. It's not a bum or hobo who just jumped off a boxcar.
It's the face of:

a battered wife

a teenager with drug addicted parents

a veteran who can't adjust to civilian life

a divorced father of four who's out of work
-
a mom with a part-time job struggling with two small kids.
In the last ten years, we've served over 1,300,000 meals to those in need.
But just as importantly, we house, feed, counsel and educate hundreds each year through our residential program, helping them to get back on their feet and become productive again.
We enable, encourage and equip people to improve their lives and ultimately, our community.
We are a homeless shelter prepared to ENABLE, ENCOURAGE and EQUIP with:
- Food - Three full meals every day served free of charge to anyone in need
- Shelter - Short term overnight stays for singles, couples and full families
- Safety - A secure alternative to life on the street
- And a Second Chance - Hope for a better future with education, counseling, compassion, prayer, access to local resources and the Love of Christ.
