Text from the Letter sent by a donor. Dear Sirs, This is Roy. I know what it is to be homeless with nothing to eat, no place to sleep. I was homeless 40 years ago. Then I found Jesus and he reached down and picked me up out of the pits of hells halls. Now me and him, we stand together. Times are hard now. I hope me & Jesus help someone with this $10. We love you all. Then I was homeless, but now now. Thanks to Jesus. I don't drink or smoke any more. Amen.

10-year-old Connor is helping to feed the homeless.
I was building a pyramid with my bunny carrots at school at lunchtime when sister Ann Marie saw me. She said I wasn't supposed to waste food. She wanted me to take them home to eat them. I didn't want to do that. But if I didn't eat then I'd have to come up with another idea. I had some birthday money, so I decided to give $10.00 to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. I felt kind of sad to lose some of my birthday money. But I also felt good knowing it would help feed hungry people.
People need the Mission because they have no home and no food. I wanted to see the Mission and find out how they would use my $10. So we went as a family. We were there for two hours. I was really surprised how much only $10 can do to help people who are hungry. I think it's good to give to the poor, don't you?
