Dana, a male client in his late 50's and participating in our Second Chance Academy wrote this article during a creative writing assignment in our learning center.
A man after my own imagination. I also ran in a different direction away from God. Trying to hide from Him is not a good idea. I too was swallowed by a great fish of shame, guilt, hurt and pain.
Not until I came to believe in Him did my life take on new meaning, new purpose and new direction. This was a life changing experience, one which will never be forgotten.
Like Jonah, God commanded the great fish in my life to spit me out of its hold into God's loving embrace. Where Jesus Christ the Son of God can clean me from my sin.
I so pray.
